- Title
- God of the
Expanding Universe
- Year
- 1971
- Instrumentation
- for organ and electronic sounds
- Notes
- Commissioned by Alec Wyton, Director of Music at St. John the Divine in New York. Score consists entirely of a set of simple instructions. The organist depresses D in octaves, and pulls out a specific sequence of stops at specific intervals; the sounds that emerge from the organ grow from soft to loud to soft, and interact with the electronic sounds which move from high to low to high: a double axis.
